For the first part of class, in our little circle we had to pick one species of animal we wanted to be. I decided to be a goat. 🐑🐑🐑
So, our job was to pretend to be the animal and talk about ourselves from the animal's point of view. I imagined that sheep are very mystical and elegant as well as a hint of boastful, possessive and prideful creatures.
I boast to my friends about my witty goat beard and elegant strong horns. I am a black sheep with lusterous and shiney fur. The mountains and hills i dominate are all mine.
I hate it when others land foot on my premises. At times i feel like charging right at them and tell em whos boss. Those mountains are mine; those who challenge my power will taste the power of my horns. This includes the foolish humans who track up my terrain and litter their belongings on the way. Truely uncultured and inconsiderate creatures. *shakes goat head in dissaproval*. My friend the horse argues that his feet are the most powerful and they can take him anywhere, but when it comes to the mountains, 1st prize is mine for the taking. There's no creature out there that can outwit me on these rocky high tracks.
The 2nd part of class me and fellow partner Halimy had to act as strangers. We came up with a situation inside an art gallery. As Halimy stares at the artwork displayed, he suddenly drops his phone. I, a passerby happens to notice his dropped phone and offers it back to him when suddenly a weird video plays on the screen. Halimy, who became too embarassed of what was shown on screen refuses to admit the phone is his. Lastly he takes the phone and drops it into the trash.
This time our acting didnt turn out as well as we wanted to :( I hope next time we'll plan out better and improve in displaying/acting out what we wanted to convey.
The last part of class divided us into 2 big groups. We had to conduct a soundscape. The setting we came up with was a busy highway. Dinie acted as a clumsy driver who droped something in her car. She proceeds to pick it up and averts her eyes from the road. At the same time, passerby Nafiz gets run over by Dinie.
The rest of us act as the other drivers on the road who are agitated by the traffic caused after the accident. There is sound of car horns, murmuring people, and agry voices. Dinie then proceeds to call the ambulance but unfortunately the communication line is faulty and can't be reached.
Later, the other drivers come to the crash site and proceed to take pictures and don't seem to take into consideration how heavy the situation is. We are trying to portray the folly of human nature and how inconsiderate, unprofessional and imature we can sometimes be. Also, i acted as a passing driver who tries to rescue Nafiz without proper medical skills. This situation is also quite common in society, resulting in many deaths and/or more serious injuries towards the patient in any kind of accident.
